“UK Heatwave: Temperatures to Soar to 32C”

Forecasters are predicting a heatwave in the UK, with temperatures set to rise to 32C over the next few days. The Met Office has identified eight areas that will experience scorching weather conditions. The heat is expected to peak on Monday, June 22, surpassing the heatwave threshold temperatures.

Starting from Friday, June 19, parts of southern England will see temperatures reaching up to 30C. By Sunday, June 21, the mercury is set to climb to 32C in the south and southeast of England. Weather expert Jo Farrow mentioned that hot air moving across the English Channel will bring high temperatures to the region.

The Met Office forecast indicates a gradual increase in temperatures, with southern England likely to hit 30C by Friday and becoming even warmer over the weekend. The forecast suggests that some areas in the south and southeast could meet the criteria for a heatwave by Saturday, with temperatures potentially reaching the low 30s in the hottest spots.

Overall, temperatures are expected to steadily rise, with Friday seeing highs of 32C in East Anglia, a temporary shift in warm air on Saturday, and a return to 32C on Sunday and possibly 33C on Monday in the south and southeast of England. The weekend is anticipated to be sunny and dry as high pressure builds over the UK, creating warm conditions across the region.
