“Tragic Death of Isle of Man TT Racer Daniel Ingham at Doran’s Bend”

The Isle of Man TT has sadly reported the tragic death of Daniel Ingham, aged 33, after a fatal incident during a qualifying session on Wednesday. Ingham, hailing from Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, lost his life following an accident at Doran’s Bend along the route.

The unfortunate event occurred during the initial lap of the third qualifying session. Ingham is survived by his wife, Helayna, and their two children.

A statement released by the Isle of Man TT Races conveyed the sorrowful news of Ingham’s passing. It highlighted his racing journey, noting his debut on the Mountain Course in 2016 during the Manx Grand Prix before transitioning to the Isle of Man TT Races.

In his ten years of racing, Ingham achieved several podium finishes, notably securing first place in the Senior Manx Grand Prix in 2024. The Isle of Man TT Races expressed their deepest sympathies to Ingham’s family, including his wife, children, and loved ones.

This incident marks the first fatality at the TT since 2024 and follows a recent deadly crash at the island’s Billown circuit during the Pre-TT Classic Road Races.

Numerous tributes have poured in to honor Ingham’s memory, with fans acknowledging the risks associated with the Isle of Man TT races and expressing heartfelt condolences.

Additionally, on the same day, Ryan and Callum Crowe, renowned in the Sidecar class for their 2025 victory, were hospitalized after a crash. The Isle of Man TT has decided to suspend the Sidecar class for the remainder of the event due to safety concerns and the need to review operational protocols following recent incidents.

The decision was made in consideration of the safety of all participants and attendees, with updates on the situation to be communicated through official Isle of Man TT Races channels in the coming days.
