“Darts Champion Luke Littler Contemplates Quitting Amid Booing”

Luke Humphries has issued a caution to darts enthusiasts that Luke Littler might decide to leave the sport if they persist in booing him. Littler, who recently won the Premier League by defeating Humphries, became emotional and tearful, revealing his struggles with the audience. The 19-year-old admitted confiding in his girlfriend Faith Millar about contemplating quitting during challenging moments in the competition.

After facing negative reactions from spectators during the 17-week event, particularly following an altercation in Manchester, Littler expressed how the constant booing affected him. Humphries, the runner-up, emphasized the importance of Littler in the world of darts and urged fans to cease the hostility.

Describing the Premier League season as a “rollercoaster ride,” Littler acknowledged the support of his family, friends, and girlfriend for standing by him throughout. His emotional victory, marked by hitting double 20 to clinch the final leg against Humphries, was a testament to his resilience and talent.

Humphries empathized with Littler’s emotional outburst, reflecting on his own experiences of facing unfounded criticism from spectators. Littler’s triumph at The O2 in London, where he outperformed with an average score of 111.67 and secured £350,000 in prize money, marked a significant milestone in his career, avenging his previous defeat to Humphries.

Ranked as the world No.1, Littler now joins the elite group of darts icons including Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, and Gary Anderson, who have won the Premier League multiple times.
