“Princess Beatrice Breaks Tradition in Intimate Wedding”

Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, made a departure from tradition just before their royal wedding, held six years ago today. The couple tied the knot in a small ceremony in Windsor on July 17, 2020, amidst Covid social distancing measures. Notable guests included the late Queen, Prince Philip, Princess Eugenie, and Beatrice’s parents. Edo’s son, Wolfie, stood as the best man.

Unlike most couples who spend the night before their wedding apart, Beatrice and Edo chose to spend it together. This decision went against the norm, with Princess Kate, for example, spending her pre-wedding night at the Goring Hotel in London, alongside family members.

Following their ceremony, Beatrice and Edo shared two photos from their wedding day, delaying the release to ensure they didn’t overshadow Captain Tom Moore’s knighthood by the late Queen. Beatrice wore a vintage dress loaned by The Queen and adorned the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara.
