“EE Introduces ‘Data Parachute’ in New SIM Plans”

EE has introduced new SIM plans aimed at addressing a common issue faced by many customers – running out of data while on the move due to increased file downloads and streaming activities. The company’s latest pay-as-you-go SIMs now come with a complimentary feature called “Data Parachute,” automatically providing users with an extra 1GB of data if they unexpectedly run out.

According to EE, the “Data Parachute” feature is designed to help customers stay connected for essential tasks like communication with friends, using navigation apps, and more, giving them breathing space until they top up their data.

Starting at £10 per month, these new plans offer various benefits, including data rollover, which carries forward any unused data to the next month, and free data boosts to enhance customers’ data allowances. Additionally, EE pay-as-you-go customers can access the 5G network for improved performance and faster speeds.

The pricing for the new plans is as follows:
– £10 for 20GB
– £15 for 75GB
– £20 for 150GB
– £30 for 200GB
– £35 for Unlimited data

While EE’s Data Parachute sets these plans apart, other providers offer competitive deals in the market. For instance, SMARTY provides 80GB for £8 per month or Unlimited data for £20. Giffgaff’s offerings include 75GB for £10 per month and 60GB for £13. It is advisable for consumers to compare different options and select a plan that meets their data usage needs to avoid unnecessary costs.

By offering innovative features like Data Parachute and competitive pricing, EE aims to cater to the evolving data needs of customers, ensuring they stay connected without worrying about running out of data unexpectedly.
