The Toronto Blue Jays have officially brought back pitcher Spencer Arrighetti from the 15-day injured list due to a right foot nerve issue named Morton’s neuroma that kept him sidelined since July 25. Arrighetti was acquired from the Houston Astros just before the trade deadline in exchange for outfielder Daulton Varsho. Additionally, utility player Davis Schneider has been recalled from the Blue Jays’ triple-A team in Buffalo, New York, and both players were set to take the field against the New York Yankees. As part of these roster changes, left-handed pitcher Brendan Cellucci was sent down to triple-A, while infielder Josh Smith was put on the 10-day injured list due to left hamstring inflammation.
