Police in Bath are on the lookout for a suspect following the sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl near a playground. The incident took place in a wooded area near the Clarks Way playground in Odd Down, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
Authorities described the suspect as a white male with a distinctive neck tattoo, believed to be in his 30s or 40s. At the time of the assault, he was seen wearing a T-shirt, shorts, and a cap.
Detective Inspector Hannah Marsh emphasized the severity of the incident, stating that significant resources have been allocated to the investigation to identify the perpetrator. She urged anyone who witnessed suspicious behavior in the vicinity during the incident or anyone matching the suspect’s description to come forward with information.
To aid in the investigation, additional patrols have been deployed, and house-to-house inquiries are being conducted. The police are also reviewing CCTV footage as part of their ongoing efforts.
