“Family Mourns Slain Young Mother, Launches Fundraiser”

The family of a 24-year-old woman who tragically lost her life in her residence has shared a heartfelt tribute to the young mother. Kirandeep Kaur, hailing from India, was fatally assaulted at her dwelling in Hayes.

A man has been accused of Kaur’s murder. Gursharan, her sister, conveyed through a translator from the Majha region of Punjab, India, to the BBC that her late sibling meant ‘everything’ to her.

Gursharan, aged 21, mentioned that her sister had relocated to London in search of better job opportunities to provide for their family.

A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to assist with the funeral costs.

According to the statement on the fundraiser page, “Kirandeep Kaur, a 24-year-old student from Punjab, India, came to the UK with aspirations of creating a brighter future for herself and her family back home.

“Kirandeep’s untimely demise has left her infant child without a mother and her family in India devastated, burdened by sorrow and significant debts incurred to support her aspirations.

“Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall is rallying the local community to offer tangible and financial support during this incredibly challenging period.”

Daniel Sean James, aged 46, allegedly assaulted Kirandeep Kaur, 24, in her residence in Hayes, west London, on the morning of July 12, as per The Mirror.

Subsequently, he purportedly leaped out of a window, fracturing both ankles, before being apprehended by law enforcement in the vicinity, as disclosed at the Old Bailey.

Before the incident, James purportedly traversed a playing field in Hayes attired in all black and carrying a sizable knife.

He was captured on surveillance footage and doorbell cameras approaching three different residences before allegedly stabbing a man in his 20s in the back from behind.

Shortly after, around 7.51am, he purportedly forced his way into the residence Mrs. Kaur shared with her husband and three-month-old baby while they were asleep in bed.

The husband was awakened by his wife’s scream and witnessed a figure exiting the bedroom, as per prosecutor Charlene Sumnall.

Two minutes later, James exited the property on Uxbridge Road by jumping out of a window from the kitchen-living room area, the court heard.

After sustaining injuries to both ankles, he purportedly attempted to escape but collapsed after a short distance.

The court learned that it took approximately 24 minutes from the first sighting of the defendant to the police arriving at the scene.

Mrs. Kaur sustained a stab wound to the chest and was declared deceased at 8.26am.

It was revealed at the Old Bailey that both victims were unknown to the defendant, who received medical treatment before being taken into custody.

He was subsequently charged with the murder of Mrs. Kaur, attempted murder, and possession of a blade.

James, residing at Mercer Place, Pinner, west London, appeared via videolink from Wormwood Scrubs in Court One of the Old Bailey on Thursday.

Judge Nigel Lickley KC scheduled a plea hearing for October 1 and provisionally set a three-week trial starting from April 5 next year.

James only confirmed his identity and was remanded in custody.
