A 22-year-old woman from Blackburn, Shawgar Rasul Hama, passed away at Wythenshawe Hospital in Greater Manchester due to severe burns sustained from setting herself on fire. The tragic incident was confirmed by Area Coroner Kate Bisset during a brief inquest at Preston Coroners’ Court. Miss Hama, originally from Iraq, resided at Greenhurst Close in Blackburn. Her identity was established through her medical wristband at the hospital. The inquest proceedings were adjourned by Ms Bisset, with a final hearing scheduled for October 2 at Accrington Town Hall.
