An individual who was a finalist on the television show X Factor is currently being detained in the same prison as Lucy Letby and Constance Marten, following allegations of causing the death of an influencer outside a popular nightclub in London.
Gabrielle Carrington, aged 29, is accused of fatally injuring Klaudia Zakrzewska, aged 32, in an incident outside a Soho nightclub. She is being closely monitored by prison officers at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey for her safety and that of other inmates. Carrington is housed in the induction wing of the prison, where inmates have the opportunity to participate in beauty courses and opera workshops.
As a detainee at the 530-prisoner facility, Carrington, known for her appearance on X Factor in 2013, has access to amenities such as gyms, phone privileges, as well as a TV and DVD player. Sources indicate that Bronzefield offers a more comfortable environment compared to other prisons, with a range of activities and better resources available for female prisoners.
Following a court appearance, Carrington, who is classified as a “standard” inmate, is expected to move to Unit 4, where Letby, Constance, and other high-profile inmates are held. This move is intended for Carrington’s protection, as she may be a target in other units or prisons due to her fame and social media presence. Sources note that Carrington has been cooperative and well-behaved since her arrival at the prison.
Initially facing charges of attempted murder, GBH with intent, ABH, and drink-driving, Carrington’s charges were elevated to murder after the victim, Klaudia Glam, passed away six days after the incident outside the nightclub. Another individual, a 58-year-old man, was also seriously injured in the same event.
Sodexo, the private company operating Bronzefield, declined to comment on individual cases. Notable inmates at the facility include Constance Marten, involved in a tragic incident where her daughter’s body was discovered in an allotment shed, leading to her conviction for causing the child’s death due to negligence.
