Three teenagers have been hospitalized following a collision involving a car and a group of individuals in the town center. The incident occurred during a confrontation in Skerries, located in the northern part of County Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday evening. Onlookers witnessed the crash on Harbour Road at approximately 9:30 pm, according to GardaĆ.
Video footage of the event shows conflicting groups of teenagers engaging in a scuffle moments before the accident. Subsequently, the footage captures a cluster of youths rushing toward a white BMW with an open back door on Harbour Road. The car is observed reversing rapidly for about 20 feet before abruptly stopping, as reported by DublinLive. The driver then accelerates forward, colliding with the group of teenagers standing at the roadside.
One individual is visibly thrown into the air upon impact before the car speeds away from the scene. A Garda spokesperson confirmed that two girls and one boy were injured in the incident and have been transported to a hospital for treatment.
The spokesperson stated that GardaĆ in Skerries were alerted to a disturbance at Harbour Road on the evening of Saturday, July 18, 2026. Around 9:30 pm, a large gathering of youths ensued, leading to a physical altercation. Amid the commotion, a vehicle struck several individuals. The injured teenagers, both females and a male, are receiving medical care at Beaumont Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations are ongoing, with no arrests made as of now.
