Prince Harry’s popularity has seen an uptick as the British public weighs in on the Royal Family. According to a recent YouGov poll, conducted quarterly, there appears to be a shift in sentiment towards the Duke of Sussex following his recent reunion with his father, King Charles.
The meeting between Harry and his father on July 10, where he was accompanied by Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet during a visit to Highgrove, seems to have influenced public opinion. A survey conducted on July 21-22, just eleven days after the reunion, indicated a rise in Harry’s favorability compared to the previous poll held in late April.
In the earlier poll, Harry’s favorability stood at 30 percent, while the latest survey shows a boost to 33 percent. His approval rating has seen a steady increase of six percent since May 2025. Despite the positive change, 58 percent of respondents still held a negative view of Harry, with nine percent expressing uncertainty.
On a different note, King Charles has achieved his highest approval rating as monarch, with 68 percent of the public endorsing his performance. The findings suggest a consistent period of public support for Charles, with his personal favorability rating remaining stable at 59-63 percent over the past two years.
Prince and Princess of Wales continue to lead the rankings with a favorability rating of 76 and 74 percent, respectively, which has remained consistent in recent times. Princess Anne, known for her diligent work within the Royal Family, secured the third spot with a 70 percent favorable rating, while Edward and Sophie received approval ratings of 53 and 51 percent, respectively.
On the lower end of the scale, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie faced a setback with favorability ratings of 30 and 29 percent from the public, respectively. Although the sisters have been out of the public eye for some time, the July 2026 poll marks their inclusion in a YouGov survey.
Meghan Markle received a modest 22 percent approval rating in the poll. In contrast, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor received the lowest score of just two percent favorability, with 92 percent of respondents viewing him negatively.
