Katie Price has successfully located her missing spouse, Lee Andrews, who reached out to her from a well-known Dubai prison where he was being held on suspicion of espionage. Andrews, a 43-year-old businessman based in Dubai, triggered an international search when he went missing two weeks ago.
Price, aged 48, revealed to the Sun that she had a brief conversation with Lee this morning after his father facilitated the contact. The call originated from Al Awir jail in Dubai, where Lee assured Katie of his safety and well-being. He mentioned to her that authorities in Dubai had mistaken him for a spy, but further details were scarce.
Following a distressing period of uncertainty, Peter, Lee’s father, informed Katie that he had located his son. This development comes after Katie raised concerns on May 13, reporting that her husband had been forcibly taken away and detained. However, recent updates suggest that Lee’s arrest on May 14 was related to a private civil matter rather than espionage charges. It is anticipated that Lee will be released from Al Awir prison, colloquially known as ‘Dubai Alcatraz,’ upon payment of a substantial fine.
Lee Andrews has previously hinted at a fascination with espionage, as evidenced by his social media activities and a 2016 video on his YouTube channel where he portrayed a secret agent persona. Despite earlier indications that Katie was halting her search efforts, she clarified on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, that authorities, including British law enforcement and Interpol, are actively involved in locating Lee.
The situation took a puzzling turn when Peter Andrews reported to the Daily Mail that Lee was safe but detained in Dubai, a claim disputed by Katie, who maintained that Lee was still missing. Concerns arose when Lee failed to return to the UK for a scheduled appearance on Good Morning Britain.
