Two British tourists were viciously attacked and rendered unconscious while vacationing in Spain. Authorities have apprehended two individuals and are actively seeking other suspects involved in the unprovoked assault that took place in Magaluf, located on the island of Mallorca.
The victims, aged 30 and 31, were found incapacitated near a nightclub in the bustling party area. Further details about the injured Britons, including their gender, have not been disclosed by the police at this time.
The two suspects in custody are both 19 years old and are facing charges related to causing serious harm. The incident transpired in the early hours of Sunday when the young assailants, accompanied by two unidentified individuals, allegedly attacked the British tourists, inflicting severe injuries that led to their unconscious state.
Following the assault, the Civil Guard initiated an investigation that led to the arrest of the perpetrators – two Swiss nationals – on Tuesday at a holiday residence in Calvià . The investigation remains ongoing with efforts to locate and apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the attack.
While the resort has been plagued by fights and antisocial behavior in recent years, there have been noticeable improvements in its reputation over the past two holiday seasons.
