A residence in Lower Saxony, Germany, was struck by an aircraft in a tragic incident. Authorities have confirmed the death of one individual, a man, though it remains uncertain if he was the pilot. Efforts are underway to locate another person believed to have been onboard, as reported by a police spokesperson to NDR Lower Saxony.

The structural integrity of the building is compromised, raising concerns of a potential collapse, but fortunately, no other casualties have been reported. The family residing in the house was not present during the crash, as confirmed by the police.

In response to the situation, air traffic in the vicinity has been halted, and emergency services are utilizing drones. Additionally, power has been cut off on the affected street as a precautionary measure. A support center for affected residents has been established at the nearby Ganderkesee shooting range.

The aircraft involved is a single-engine, four-seater light plane produced by the Italian company Tecnam, measuring approximately 7.5 meters in length with a wingspan of 10.5 meters. Multiple firefighting teams are currently on-site, managing the aftermath of the incident.
