When asked about the dress code, Tanya explained that she needed a specific wardrobe, including long dresses, outfits for different occasions like breakfast and tea, as well as attire for shooting activities, Barbour jackets, and Wellington boots. She mentioned that she had to purchase new clothes for the trip as she did not own appropriate items. Additionally, Tanya borrowed a pearl necklace from her mother to wear, passing it off as a family heirloom when questioned by the Queen Mother.
Despite feeling nervous initially, Tanya found comfort in the presence of the late Queen Elizabeth, who made efforts to ease her anxiety. She shared a moment when the Queen entertained her with impressions and kind gestures, helping her relax.
During her stay, Tanya had a humorous mishap at dinner in front of King Charles, the Prince of Wales. She mistakenly added salt instead of sugar to her coffee, which Prince Charles noticed, leading to a lighthearted moment at the table.
