Wendy Iles, a woman reported missing in Wiltshire, has been located, according to her daughter Louise. The search efforts led to finding Wendy, aged 68, and her campervan, which had apparently experienced a tire blowout.
Despite this positive development, Wendy’s springer spaniel named Beau remains unaccounted for. Louise mentioned that the family is actively searching for the missing dog in Spain.
Concerned family members reached out to authorities, including Interpol and local police in the UK, after Wendy disappeared. She was last in contact around 9 pm on a Sunday in the Alfafar area near Valencia. Louise shared that Wendy seemed confused during their last conversation and reported that the campervan she was driving had been stolen.
Wendy was traveling from Cumbre del Sol to Caen, France, to catch a ferry back to the UK. Alarm bells rang when she failed to make her scheduled ferry connection.
Louise raised concerns with European and UK authorities when Wendy missed her travel connections, her phone was off, and there were suspicions of theft involving her campervan and passports.
Addressing inquiries on a forum, Louise explained her belief that the vehicle had been stolen based on Wendy’s report of it being missing during their last communication.
Expressing frustration over the challenges in tracking her mother’s movements, Louise shared that British authorities would not investigate Wendy’s bank transactions until she was considered high risk, while Spanish police required a 48-hour wait before conducting a search.
During their last interaction, Wendy appeared confused and did not reach the hotel Louise had recommended while they were dealing with issues related to the camper van.
