Police have provided an update regarding the investigation into the death of a woman in Greater Manchester.
Emergency services responded to a fire at Higher Tunshill Farm in Milnrow, Rochdale around 12:30 pm on Friday, where the body of a woman was discovered. Initially, authorities launched a murder inquiry.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police stated that upon arrival at the scene, the woman’s body was found inside stables at the property. A man in his 40s was taken into custody on suspicion of murder but has since been released on bail as investigations continue.
In a recent statement, the police confirmed that there was no external involvement in the woman’s demise. Following thorough inquiries into the death of the 38-year-old woman, detectives believe that no third party played a role in the incident.
The man who was previously arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without further action at this time. The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death will now be referred to the coroner for an inquest to be conducted in the future.
