A couple has made the decision to permanently relocate from the United Kingdom to Bali in order to provide their children with a different upbringing. Lucy Argent, 41, and her husband Paul, 36, had successful lives in the UK but felt the need for a change to break free from their routine.
Leaving behind their Cambridgeshire home, the couple transformed it into an Airbnb and settled into a humble dwelling in Bali with their three children: seven-year-old Amaya, six-year-old Roo, and four-year-old Lela. Lucy expressed that they have no intentions of returning to the UK, even if it means living without conventional walls.
Despite having a comfortable life in the UK with a beautiful house and successful careers, Lucy, a former owner of beauty salons, and Paul, a builder, felt unfulfilled and sought a more enriching existence. Transitioning to Bali has allowed them to embrace a simpler lifestyle, spending more time outdoors, being more active due to the favorable weather, and enjoying a lower cost of living without the constraints of a 9-5 work routine. Their children have thrived in this new environment.
Lucy, who relocated to Bali two years ago, has been sharing their journey on TikTok, amassing a substantial following. A recent viral post showcased their unique open-air home in Bali, which features no windows or doors, providing a seamless connection to nature.
Their unconventional dwelling, with a layout that blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor living, includes a swimming pool and garden. Despite the lack of windows and doors in most areas, the home is equipped with air conditioning and fans to maintain a comfortable temperature.
