U.S. President Donald Trump’s press secretary, Katie Zacharia, is departing from her position just one week after being appointed, as confirmed by a White House official. Trump indicated on Friday, before heading to a rally in Georgia, that he had a conversation with Zacharia and expressed his belief that she should not be subjected to negative media scrutiny. Trump mentioned that he advised Zacharia to prioritize her happiness and well-being, stating that he does not want her to endure further distress. The President mentioned that he would make a final decision regarding Zacharia’s role after his campaign engagements, emphasizing that they will discuss the matter upon his return.
