A young married couple, Adam Hencek, 23, and Tomas Feuller, 25, tragically passed away just days apart at their home. Their unexpected deaths occurred shortly after their wedding day, marking a stark contrast to the joy they had experienced. The couple was greatly mourned by their families, including Adam’s parents, Peter and Lubica, and Tomas’ grandparents, Jozefa and Milan. In response to the tragedy, Adam’s aunt, Mirka Kohutovičová, initiated a GoFundMe campaign on June 9 to assist with the funeral expenses.
The fundraising effort aimed to cover the joint funeral costs for the dearly departed couple, who left behind a grieving community. Mirka expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support, revealing that donations swiftly reached €12,070 (£10,352) on the first day of the campaign. The couple was honored with a public viewing at Condons Funeral Parlour in Clonmel before a private cremation at the Island Crematorium in Cork.
Originally from Slovakia, Adam and Tomas had settled in Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary. Their friends and acquaintances remembered them fondly, with tributes flowing in to commemorate their lives. Josephine, a close friend of Tomas, praised his vibrant spirit and expressed heartfelt condolences to his family. Additionally, Daisy Wn, a former piano student of Adam, remembered him as a talented and kind teacher. Karen Douglas, who had met the couple through work, reflected on their infectious zest for life.
The community in Carrick-on-Suir mourned the loss of the couple, highlighting the impact they had on those around them. Their untimely passing left a void in the hearts of many who knew them, emphasizing the lasting legacy they have left behind.
