The Halifax Tides and Calgary Wild ended in a scoreless draw during the Northern Super League match on Saturday, with the Tides striving to secure the fourth and final playoff position. Following the draw, the Tides (7-11-5) now share the fourth spot with the reigning league champion, Vancouver Rise.
Vancouver Rise is set to play against AFC Toronto on Sunday, while the Montreal Roses, Toronto, and Ottawa Rapid have already secured three of the four playoff berths in the women’s professional soccer league.
With two games left in their regular season, the Tides are still in contention for the playoffs, whereas Calgary (4-14-5) is out of the running. Halifax goalkeeper Alina Toth and Calgary’s Sarah Keilty-Dilling both kept clean sheets for their teams during the match held at Wanderers Grounds.
