Three individuals have been taken into custody following the tragic death of a two-year-old girl in Arkansas due to a dog attack. Earnest Jackson, 54, Christina Hart, 41, and MaKayla Jackson, 21, have been charged with endangering a minor in relation to the incident, as stated in a police announcement from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. The suspects have not disclosed their pleas or legal representation at this time.
Authorities responded to a distress call on March 28 reporting an animal assault involving the toddler. According to reports from KATV, a loose dog from a neighbor’s property dragged the child into nearby woods, where she was later found deceased.
A statement from law enforcement described the incident, stating that arrests were made following thorough investigations by the PCSO Criminal Investigations Division. The arrested individuals, MaKayla Jackson, Earnest Jackson, and Christina Hart, have been accused of endangering a minor. Additionally, the dog believed to be involved in the attack is under the care of the Pulaski County Animal Control Division, while the suspects are currently detained at the Regional Detention Facility.
