“The Traitors” returns with a fresh set of stars ready to embark on their murder mystery journey. The announcement of the cast for the fifth season of the acclaimed reality competition series was made on Friday, introducing a mix of celebrities and reality TV personalities who will enter the castle with a single rule in mind: trust no one.
Among the new season’s participants are singer Cody Simpson, Mormon Wife Whitney Leavitt, Real Housewife Gizelle Bryant, and actor/singer Kristin Chenoweth, with the addition of a Canadian contestant. The show’s format involves host Alan Cummings designating a select group as traitors while the rest are considered faithful. Each week, the traitors gather in secret to eliminate one faithful member. Subsequently, the group engages in discussions, accusations, and voting to identify and remove the traitors.
Having secured a renewal for three more seasons, “The Traitors” achieved a clean sweep at the 76th Emmy Awards, clinching top honors like outstanding reality competition program and outstanding host for Alan Cummings.
The full cast lineup includes familiar faces like Bianca Del Rio from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Canadian content creator Boman Martinez-Reid, and Real Housewife Bronwyn Newport. Other participants include Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover, and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” regular Cynthia Bailey, among others.
