Some devoted fans had even camped out for up to 12 hours just to catch a glimpse of Williams and secure a ticket to his upcoming project, “Yaga,” a series based on Slavic folklore set to debut in October.
In “Yaga,” Williams takes on dual roles, promising a treat for his followers. The series, shot earlier this year on Vancouver Island, follows a private investigator called to a coastal town to find a missing heir of a wealthy fishing family, unveiling a web of dark secrets. The cast is stacked with Canadian talents, including Noah Reid, Carrie-Anne Moss, Clark Backo, Sheila McCarthy, and Megan Follows.
While Williams remained silent to the media at the TIFF premiere, Moss, his co-star, expressed confidence in his performance, stating, “He’s doing great; he doesn’t need advice.” The event exuded a mix of Hudson mania and pride in the Canadian talent showcased in the show.
