“Prince Harry Determined to Bring Children to UK for Invictus Games”

Prince Harry has expressed his determination to explore all possible avenues to bring his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK next month. The Duke of Sussex is keen to have his family accompany him as he fulfills various commitments related to the upcoming Invictus Games in Birmingham.

The proposed visit would entail a trip to Athorp Estate, where Princess Diana, Harry’s mother, is laid to rest, and a potential meeting with King Charles. However, there are indications that the Home Office’s Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) may not grant increased taxpayer-funded security for the visit, causing speculation that Harry might reconsider taking his family along. Despite being offered accommodation at a royal residence, security concerns remain a focal point.

In a statement released recently, Harry’s spokesperson emphasized the importance of ensuring comprehensive protective security measures throughout the visit, not just limited to lodging arrangements. The absence of an independent Risk Management Board assessment, which was proposed by RAVEC, raises questions about the adequacy of the current security provisions.

Over the past few years, Prince Harry has been embroiled in a legal battle with the British authorities regarding the withdrawal of taxpayer-funded security upon relinquishing his royal duties and relocating to the United States with Meghan. Despite initial legal challenges, Harry’s appeals have not led to a reversal of the security decision, and he is now under a customized security arrangement that requires prior notification to RAVEC for any UK visits.

Despite ongoing security concerns, Prince Harry remains committed to enabling a safe visit for his children and continues to explore options to make the trip to the UK feasible.
