Images have been released by the police in connection with a sexual assault incident on a busy train. The assault took place after a group of street performers entered the Elizabeth Line service at Whitechapel in East London, just before 11 pm on June 6. According to authorities, two men from the group allegedly assaulted a woman and then disembarked at the subsequent stop, which was Stratford Station.
The British Transport Police have shared CCTV images of the two individuals believed to have information relevant to the investigation. They are appealing for anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the case.
The British Transport Police stated, “Detectives investigating a sexual assault on an Elizabeth Line train have released images of two men they wish to speak to. The incident occurred when a group of street performers boarded an eastbound train at Whitechapel station. Following the assault, the two men alighted at Stratford station. Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the individuals in the images to aid their investigation.”
