The US Coastguard and Airlift North West, an air medical transport service, were observed in the vicinity of Shallow Bay, as indicated by radar tracking. Additionally, a local fireboat has reached the crash site.
Initial information suggests that the downed aircraft may have been operated by Kenmore Air and crashed on the shore of Sucia Island in the San Juan Islands. Thunderstorms were reported in the area when the crash occurred around 5:22 pm, according to Flight Radar data.
