McDonald’s Unveils Bold New Sauces and Menu Additions

It appears that the temperature isn’t the only thing heating up recently.

McDonald’s has introduced new sauces along with two fresh burgers and a beloved favorite, making double-dipping a guilt-free pleasure. While the classic Big Mac always satisfies, these new sauces bring a whole new flavor dimension to your meal.

Meet the Hot Honey, Korean BBQ, and Ranch dips, along with a spicy mayo, poised to elevate your chicken nugget experience. As a devoted McDonald’s enthusiast, I had the privilege to try them before the official launch to determine their potential to revolutionize your McDonald’s order.

Normally, I opt for BBQ or sweet curry sauces, so the arrival of Korean BBQ piqued my interest. In addition to the new dips, McDonald’s is unveiling the Hot Honey Sausage and Egg McMuffin, the Hot Honey McCrispy, and reintroducing the Cornetto McFlurry.

The new sauces pack a punch. The creamy ranch is ideal for those who prefer milder flavors over BBQ or spice. The Korean BBQ offers a unique twist, blending sweet soy, ginger, and garlic for a rich umami taste.

Although I enjoy Asian-inspired flavors, I was surprised by the distinct taste of the Korean BBQ, closer to teriyaki than traditional BBQ. While it may not cater to BBQ purists, it’s a refreshing take on a classic sauce.

The Hot Honey sauce leans heavily on sweetness. Though McDonald’s is a bit late to the hot honey trend, the sticky and runny sauce provides a delightful mix of sweet and spicy. It pairs well with nuggets or Chicken Selects, offering a pleasant kick in the aftertaste.

When it comes to the new McCrispy and McMuffin, the sauce adds a zesty touch. While I appreciate the hot honey McCrispy, the messy factor can’t be ignored. Additionally, the long-awaited return of the Cornetto McFlurry after 17 years has fans excited.

For those with hearty appetites, the Big Arch with bacon joins the menu. Rumor has it there’s a new secret menu hack – the Hot Honey McFlurry.

I took a chance on the Hot Honey McFlurry and was pleasantly surprised by the unconventional blend of creaminess and spice. Although not my top pick, the daring flavor combination might intrigue adventurous eaters.

McDonald’s venture into new sauce flavors is commendable. Personally, the ranch stood out as my favorite, and I’m looking forward to indulging in some double-dipping with my nuggets.

All the newly introduced McDonald’s items will be accessible in-store and online starting on Tuesday, July 14.
