A tragic incident occurred in Dudley as a man lost his life after falling from a car park. Emergency responders were called to Queensway in Halesowen just after 6am on Sunday, July 19, where the man, in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police.
Following the incident, several roads in Halesowen town center were closed, and bus services were redirected while authorities conducted an investigation at the site. West Midlands Police confirmed that the man’s death was not considered suspicious and expressed condolences to his family and acquaintances.
A police spokesperson stated that they received a report of a man falling from a car park at Queensway in Halesowen early that morning. The man was tragically confirmed dead at the location, and the police assured that his passing was not under suspicion, with plans to prepare a report for the coroner.
The unfortunate event happened shortly after a disturbance in the town center on Saturday, where a conflict involving a group of teenagers led to the closure of High Street around 12:30pm. Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder by West Midlands Police.
As a result of the incident, disruptions and delays were anticipated in the area, impacting bus services as well. A dispersal order was enforced in Halesowen town center, granting officers additional authority to address any instances of anti-social behavior.
