“London Police Seek Two Individuals in Murder Probe”

Police in London have disclosed the identities and photographs of two young individuals they wish to speak with in connection to a murder investigation. The inquiry was initiated following the fatal stabbing of Elijah Seriki, 23, near Mossbourne Community Academy in Hackney, east London on July 13. The individuals sought for questioning are Cavalli Harriott, 22, and Jayqwan Stevens-Burke, 23, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Harriott is known to be from Hackney, while Stevens-Burke is known to frequent both Hackney and Grays, Essex. Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams, heading the investigation, stated that a thorough investigation is ongoing to unravel the events of that fateful day. The public is urged to come forward with any information on the whereabouts of Harriott and/or Stevens-Burke by contacting the police or Crimestoppers anonymously.

The tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon when officers responded to a stabbing report at around 1:40 pm. Despite efforts by paramedics, Mr. Seriki succumbed to his injuries at Hackney Downs shortly after. The investigation is in progress, and no arrests have been made so far. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley emphasized the urgency to identify those responsible, urging individuals with relevant information to cooperate with authorities.

The Police presence in the area remains strong as inquiries proceed. Detective Chief Superintendent Brittany Clarke reassured the community, stating that the incident is being treated as isolated and does not involve the school’s pupils. Mayor of Hackney, Zoë Garbett, expressed sorrow over the victim’s tragic death and pledged support to those affected. The community is encouraged to remain vigilant as the investigation unfolds.
