A dramatic escalation unfolded in Scotland today as a skip lorry crashed into the residence of a notorious gangster believed to be at the center of an ongoing drug conflict.
The incident occurred on Brand Drive in Edinburgh on Tuesday afternoon, with video footage capturing the lorry speeding in reverse before smashing through the front door of the building in the Portobello area. Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, revealing extensive damage with a large hole left in the front of the property.
Reports indicate that the attack was orchestrated by the Tamo Junto (TMJ), a gang associated with prominent drug dealer Ross McGill. Allegedly, the 19-year-old homeowner targeted in the assault was suspected of attempting to swindle McGill in a counterfeit money transaction, instigating the violent response.
Sources disclosed to the press that TMJ, acting on behalf of McGill, sought retribution against the young man, identified only as a former member of rival Mark Richardson’s criminal network. The individual was allegedly involved in a drug deal using fake currency amounting to £500,000, financed by Richardson, sparking the retaliatory action.
According to insiders, the targeted individual had ties to Richardson’s faction and had engaged in illicit activities involving McGill. The ongoing feud between the two criminal entities escalated following this incident, leading to a series of violent confrontations, including arson and shootings targeting members of both groups.
TMJ’s ultimate goal, as stated by sources, is the complete dismantling of Richardson’s organization and its affiliates. The gang remains determined to eradicate all individuals associated with Richardson, emphasizing their commitment to continuing the conflict until their rivals are neutralized.
In response to the incident, a police spokesperson confirmed road closures in the vicinity due to a lorry colliding with a house. The authorities are actively engaged at the scene on Brand Drive, Edinburgh, following the crash, which occurred at approximately 2:25 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Safety measures have been implemented with road closures at Christian Grove and Christian Crescent.
