An enraged farmer took action against numerous tourists’ vehicles by spraying them with manure when they illegally parked in a field at a picturesque location in the UK.
Recently, a video captured the scene where around 20 cars, parked on private property near Rydal Water in the Lake District, Cumbria, were covered in slurry on May 26. The field is situated close to Rydal Mount, the former residence of poet William Wordsworth from 1813 until 1850.
The video footage displayed a sign that clearly stated, “Polite Notice – DO NOT PARK IN THE FIELD,” along with another sign warning of sheep in the field. Among the affected vehicles was a black Mercedes, visibly soaked in the foul substance, while owners of other luxury cars like Jaguars and BMWs were seen inspecting the damage caused by the incident, dubbed “countryside karma.”
The farmer, as identified later, had no sympathy for the car owners, stating that they had deliberately ignored the warning signs and chosen to park on the field, facing the consequences of their actions. The incident served as a deterrent, signaling a form of justice for the farmer.
The local police had previously advised visitors to follow appropriate parking regulations in the national park to avoid disruptions. The farmer’s decision to spray the vehicles with slurry received support from online commentators, highlighting the need for respect and consideration for private property. Police authorities are investigating the matter further to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
