An elderly man tragically lost his life after being trampled by cattle during a visit to a National Trust site. The incident occurred at Felbrigg Hall near Cromer in North Norfolk just before noon yesterday. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man, aged in his 70s, passed away at the scene.
Norfolk Constabulary reported that the man’s next of kin have been notified, and investigations are ongoing in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive. The National Trust spokesperson confirmed that a member of the public was fatally injured while walking at Felbrigg Hall. Despite paramedics’ attempts, the individual could not be saved.
The National Trust expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the victim’s family and friends. The parkland at Felbrigg Hall has been closed following the incident and will remain shut on the following day as well.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is conducting inquiries in conjunction with Norfolk Constabulary.
