Many individuals have their favorite grocery store, whether it’s for regular shopping or just grabbing a few necessities. For my weekly shopping, I usually opt for Sainsbury’s and Aldi due to their generally affordable prices.
In the past, I tended to avoid shopping at M&S because of its reputation for being pricey, wanting to avoid any surprises at the checkout. However, I’ve come to appreciate M&S for certain items that I believe are worth the extra cost.
I have previously praised the high-quality chicken at M&S in comparison to Sainsbury’s and Aldi, but some months ago, I stumbled upon another product that caught my eye.
While browsing the dairy section for my usual Greek yogurt, I came across something that piqued my interest.
I have a strong affinity for yogurt, especially during this time of year when I frequently enjoy it for breakfast or as a snack. Typically, I go for the large containers of 0% fat Greek yogurt from M&S.
However, I noticed that M&S also offers small pots of 0% fat Greek yogurt paired with a fruit compote – available in cherry, peach, and honey variations.
I decided to try all three flavors, each priced at £1.20. Among them, my favorite turned out to be the peach variant.
These yogurts serve as a premium and healthier alternative to a Muller Corner. The larger portion contains the Greek yogurt, while the smaller compartment is filled with a deliciously sweet compote or honey.
With just 113 calories and over 12g of protein, these yogurts make a fantastic addition to breakfast or a satisfying snack.
Fage, another brand, offers a similar product at Sainsbury’s, but it only includes honey without the added fruit. Additionally, it has less protein per 100g and a higher calorie content.
While Aldi stocks small pots of 0% fat Greek yogurt in mango, raspberry, honey, and vanilla flavors, I found the Greek yogurt in those pots didn’t quite suit my taste.
If you enjoy Greek yogurt combined with fruit, especially peaches and cherries, these pots are definitely worth trying out. I personally went through four of them just last week.
