“Altercation forces easyJet flight to return to Tenerife”

An easyJet flight en route to the UK was compelled to return to Tenerife due to a significant altercation on board. According to Spanish air traffic controllers, approximately 10 passengers were involved in the disturbance on the plane bound for Liverpool. The crew informed authorities that a group of passengers had initiated a fight, prompting the captain to reverse course for safety reasons. The flight, identified as easyJet flight EZY3352, departed Tenerife South Airport around 8 pm local time yesterday and returned at 9:05 pm.

It remains uncertain whether all individuals involved in the altercation were British or if any arrests were made. A Spanish individual expressed surprise at the frequency of security incidents on flights to and from the UK. The Mirror has reached out to Spanish police for further details.

Meanwhile, a flight from London Gatwick to Ibiza declared a ‘general emergency’ shortly after take-off this morning and returned to London Gatwick safely. The aircraft, an Airbus A320-214, encountered a technical issue, leading to its diversion back to the original airport. Emergency services met the plane upon landing as a precautionary measure. EasyJet emphasized that passenger and crew safety is their top priority and that all protocols were followed during the incident.
