Seattle, with a record of 8-31, had struggled in previous games, losing 14 out of 15 matches. Jade Melbourne also stood out with 16 points and seven assists, while Awa Fam and Zia Cooke both added 10 points to the scoreboard.
Toronto faced challenges with their top scorers unavailable; Marina Mabrey, Brittney Sykes, and Nyara Sabally were out due to injuries. Despite this setback, rookie Kiki Rice excelled with a season-high 24 points, and Isabelle Harrison showcased a strong performance with 17 points and 14 rebounds for Toronto, having an 11-27 record.
Seattle took control of the game by finishing the third quarter with an 11-4 run, leading 64-61, and extending their advantage in the fourth quarter with a 9-2 spurt to secure a 10-point lead.
In the upcoming games, Toronto will face Las Vegas on Friday night, while Seattle is set to host Los Angeles on Sunday.
