Poland deployed two F-16 fighter jets to intercept a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft that was flying approximately 40km north of Kolobrzeg over the Baltic Sea, according to the country’s defense minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The intercept mission was initiated in response to Russian military reconnaissance activity near Polish airspace.
