During this period, temperature anomaly maps depict England and Wales in dark red shades, indicating temperatures significantly above the seasonal average, with 15 counties in England likely to experience temperatures of 32C or higher.
The Met Office anticipates that temperatures will return to near-average levels across the UK starting tomorrow.
The forecast for August 3 to August 12 suggests occasional warmer periods, especially in the south, alongside the potential for widespread heavy rain and strong winds at times.
Fortunately, the upcoming heat is not expected to be as intense as recent weeks.
