The Royal Family has celebrated the arrival of a new member, with Flora Vesterberg, a cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth and King Charles, sharing the news of her baby’s birth. In an Instagram post, Flora and her husband, Timothy Vesterberg, joyfully announced the safe arrival of their baby girl, Isabel Marina, on Wednesday, July 8.
Flora, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin, Princess Alexandra, revealed the happy news with a photo of baby Isabel sleeping peacefully in a crib, dressed in a white outfit and matching bonnet. Expressing their excitement, Flora captioned the image, stating, “Our daughter Isabel Marina Vesterberg arrived safely on the morning of 8 July. Timothy and I are overjoyed and full of love for her.”
The name Isabel Marina holds significance as it honors Flora’s paternal great-grandmother and reflects their connection to the sea, where they find serenity in Scotland and Sweden. Isabel, the first great-grandchild of Princess Alexandra, is now in line to succeed to the British throne.
In the line of succession, Flora, followed by her father, James, and brother, Alexander Ogilvy, is currently 61st in line, with Isabel expected to be the 62nd in line. Flora had earlier announced her pregnancy on Instagram in January, sharing the delightful news with her followers.
Flora and Timothy tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2020 and later had a church blessing at St. James’s Palace in London in 2021. Among the guests at the celebration were prominent figures such as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Lady Amelia Windsor.
Flora is occasionally seen at royal gatherings, including Trooping the Colour and family weddings, demonstrating her presence within the royal circle. Notably, she recently attended the wedding of Lady Marina Windsor and Nico Macauley, where she was photographed cradling her baby bump.
