Authorities have recovered the body of a teenage boy from the water near a reservoir in Greater Manchester.
The Greater Manchester Police responded to a call regarding a 15-year-old boy facing difficulties in the water near Cowbury Reservoir in Stalybridge yesterday.
The incident was reported around 6:30 pm, with the Greater Manchester Fire Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service also on the scene.
A body was tragically found in the water later that evening. The police have confirmed the identity through formal procedures and have informed the boy’s family.
Investigators believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident, and they are preparing a report for the coroner.
Police have issued a caution to the public, advising against swimming in reservoirs, rivers, canals, or ponds during hot weather.
