Family of British Man Killed in Bali Seeks Help

A devastated family is seeking financial support to repatriate the body of a British man who tragically passed away on his 26th birthday celebration. Joseph O’Sullivan, a resident of Coventry, lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Bali, Indonesia, where he had been visiting friends after residing and working in Perth, Australia, for nearly two years. The circumstances of his death remain unclear, with his family uncertain whether the incident occurred on June 17 or June 18.

A GoFundMe campaign initiated by his cousin, Susan Love, has garnered over £9,000 out of the £12,000 goal set to cover the expenses of bringing Joseph’s remains back to the UK for his family to lay him to rest.

Expressing her plea in the fundraiser, Susan stated, “Hi, my name is Susan, and I am Joe’s cousin and a close family member. We were devastated to receive the news of Joseph’s sudden passing and urgently need to bring him home to help his mother Veronica give him a proper farewell.”

“Joseph was a kind, caring, and funny individual who was thoroughly enjoying his time traveling in Australia, living life to the fullest. His infectious smile could brighten any room. Life’s unpredictability and cruelty have hit us hard, and as a family, we would be grateful for any assistance.”

“Life is short, so remember to embrace your loved ones a little tighter, enjoy life, have fun, and smile. Let’s unite to bring Sully back home and give him the heartfelt send-off he deserves.”

Joseph’s sister, Patricia O’Sullivan, shared the heartbreaking news of his demise on Facebook on June 19, expressing disbelief and profound sorrow over the loss of her beloved brother. She pleaded for support to bring Joseph home and honor him in a fitting manner.

Another relative, Johanna Love, reminisced about Joseph and expressed a deep desire to reunite him with his family, emphasizing the urgency and emotional significance of bringing him back to his homeland.
