A tragic incident occurred in Lancashire resulting in the death of a driver and critical injuries to a child after a train collided with a car at a level crossing on Station Road, Hoghton. According to a spokesperson from the North West Ambulance Service, the collision took place at 8:50 am, prompting the dispatch of multiple medical teams, including a hazardous area response team and two air ambulances. Regrettably, the child sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for urgent care.
