“Norway’s Princess Mette-Marit Recovering Well Post Lung Transplant”

Norway’s Queen Sonja has shared her thoughts following Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s recent lung transplant surgery. Mette-Marit, who is married to the King and Queen’s son, underwent the surgery due to her worsening health caused by pulmonary fibrosis. She has been seen using an oxygen mask during public appearances this year.

The Royal Family of Norway confirmed that the 52-year-old princess is recovering well from the surgery. Queen Sonja, while in Kristiansand, expressed her joy at the successful outcome, calling it “fantastic.”

The Head of Thoracic Surgery at Oslo University Hospital, Arna Tiane, praised the success of the lung transplant procedure and thanked the medical team for their efforts. Mette-Marit will remain under hospital care for several weeks for medication adjustments, treatment, and rehabilitation.

A statement from the Royal Family conveyed gratitude for the support received during this challenging time. Meanwhile, Mette-Marit’s son, Marius Borg Høiby, faced legal issues as he was sentenced to four years in prison for multiple charges, including rape. Despite his conviction, reports claim he had been visiting his mother at the hospital.
