Seventy-two individuals have been apprehended for showing solidarity with Palestine Action during a demonstration where four individuals are facing charges for an incursion at an Israeli-affiliated private defense company. Samuel Corner, 23, Charlotte Head, 30, Leona Kamio, 30, and Fatema Rajwani, 21, caused significant damage amounting to £1 million to the Elbit Systems UK facility in Bristol on August 6, 2024.
The quartet engaged in the protest due to the corporation’s connections to conflicts in the Middle East and are at risk of imprisonment for their actions. Approximately 500 supporters congregated outside Woolwich Crown Court to back the activists. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed the arrest of 72 individuals for endorsing Palestine Action at the assembly, all of whom are presently in police custody.
