“Wimbledon Fans Score Discounted Wine Amid Pricing Error”

Wimbledon fans are enjoying discounted glasses of wine due to a pricing error at the All England Club. The Centenary Brasserie mistakenly listed 250ml glasses of Piquepoul/Terret Blanc and Thirsty Birds Chardonnay at £6.95 each, instead of the correct prices. One customer reported being overcharged but had the error rectified after informing the staff.

Operations Manager Michelle Dite acknowledged the mistake and mentioned that efforts were being made to fix the pricing issue promptly. However, due to the lack of updated menus, the discounted prices continued on Tuesday to avoid confusion among customers.

Despite the pricing mishap, some diners expressed mixed reactions to the discounted wines, with some not minding paying the actual price. Many attendees took advantage of the lower prices, resulting in high demand for the discounted drinks.

Dite emphasized the club’s commitment to addressing such issues swiftly to ensure a seamless experience for visitors. Meanwhile, the Wimbledon Championships saw British players facing challenges on the court, with hopes pinned on upcoming matches to improve the outcomes.

Away from the tennis action, fans are indulging in various refreshments, including a special Strawberries & Cream-themed pint of Stella priced at over £9. The All England Club also offers a range of beverages, such as Kopparberg Crisp Apple cider, Camden Eazy IPA, and Champagne, at varying prices.

For those preferring non-alcoholic options, choices like Evian water, Coca-Cola Zero, and Frobishers Juice are available at different prices. Food options include strawberries and cream, plant-based sausages, and Cumberland sausages, catering to a diverse range of tastes at the event.
