A young female golfer from Britain was surprised to discover her golf ball resting near a massive six-foot snake on a golf course in the UK. The 12-year-old junior golfer was part of a group led by PGA Pro Aaron Cox at Blackwell Grange Golf Club in Darlington, County Durham, when the incident occurred.
After hitting her tee shot on the par 4 fifth hole, the girl went to retrieve her ball and was shocked to find it next to a boa constrictor. Boa constrictors, known for strangling their prey, are not native to the UK but are commonly found in tropical regions. Despite the encounter, the golf pro remained unfazed, having encountered larger snakes in his native Australia.
The snake, likely a pet, was eventually safely captured by Aaron and head pro Peter Raine using a cardboard box. The golfers were surprised by the unexpected encounter, as snakes are not a common sight on UK golf courses. The snake was handed over to a local pet shop for care and is reportedly in good health.
Coast to Coast Exotics, where the snake was taken, has issued an appeal on social media to locate the owner of the boa constrictor. This rare incident has sparked interest and raised awareness about the presence of snakes in unusual locations.
