The Met Office forecasts thunderstorms tomorrow as two weather systems move across the UK. Rain is predicted in nearly all regions on Saturday, accompanied by strong winds. Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin expects widespread rain in England by Saturday morning, with showers slowly spreading across the country. While parts of the Midlands, Wales, and southern England may experience brief clear spells, another band of rain is forecast to follow.
The second weather front will bring heavy showers and an increased risk of thunderstorms, particularly in Northern Ireland and Wales. Some relief is expected in the southwest of England later in the day, although windy conditions with strong winds are anticipated. Temperatures are likely to be near or slightly below average for June, ranging from 15°C in Northern Ireland, Wales, and the southwest to 19°C in eastern England. Southern areas may feel cooler due to the gusty winds.
The BBC’s outlook for tomorrow includes mostly cloudy skies with continued rain from the southwest. Sunny intervals and isolated thundery showers are possible later, especially in the south. Sunday may see variable cloud cover with showers, mainly in the west, potentially turning heavy. Monday could bring heavy rain from the west, with sunshine following. Tuesday may feature scattered thundery showers alongside sunny spells.
