Canada’s Tyler Mislawchuk secured a bronze medal at the World Triathlon Championship Series competition in Weihai, China, on Saturday. The 32-year-old athlete, hailing from Oak Bluff, Manitoba, completed the race in one hour, 41 minutes, and 25 seconds. Switzerland’s Max Studer clinched the gold medal with a finishing time of 1:41:08, while Spain’s David Campero Del Campo took the silver medal, crossing the line seven seconds ahead of Mislawchuk.
Mislawchuk started strong with an 18:39 time in the 1.5-kilometer swim segment, followed by a 51:53 completion of the 38.6-kilometer bike course. He then finished the final 10km run in 29:35. Unfortunately, fellow Canadian Liam Donnelly did not complete the event.
