Two individuals have been swiftly transported to a medical facility following a plane crash in proximity to Pitsford. The small aircraft descended into a field near Northampton at approximately 3:50 pm, prompting a collaborative rescue effort by law enforcement and fire department personnel.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the closure of adjacent roads to facilitate the arrival of emergency services and the safe evacuation of two occupants from the aircraft. Subsequently, the individuals were handed over to paramedics and subsequently transferred to University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire for ongoing medical care.

According to former local council member James Hill, eyewitnesses observed the plane performing acrobatic maneuvers before experiencing apparent difficulties leading to the crash. Northamptonshire Police has initiated an investigation into the incident, with a spokesperson stating, “We received a report of a light aircraft crash near Pitsford.”

In a recent statement, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service detailed their response to the emergency, mentioning the prompt closure of roads to facilitate access for emergency personnel. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) spokesperson confirmed being informed of the accident involving a light aircraft near Brixworth, Northamptonshire. An inquiry is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the crash.
